Through the generous cooperation of Ribcraft USA (www.ribcraftusa.com), Wilmington Group's employees are assisting in the sponsorship of a 975 mile fund raising ocean passage trip from Marblehead, MA to Wilmington, NC to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
A custom built 21 foot rigid inflatable boat navigated by two employees of the firm will take a general ocean and coastal passage which will journey past Boston, Newport RI, New York, Chesapeake Bay, the Outer Banks, and onward to Wrightsville Beach (Wilmington), NC. At least 70% of the trip is planned in Ocean waters and is accomplished through a Ribcraft boat designed for the most inhospitable sea conditions. The trip is expected to take 4 - 5 days, and will begin May 18th from Marblehead Bay.
The captains of this fund raising event are being coordinated by Wilmington Group's Executive Recruiters, Jennifer Royall and Kristan Wilson. Our goal is to raise at least $5.00 per mile as we are asking donations from $.10 to $1.00 per mile. All of the proceeds will be donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and are a part of our Partners in Training program to raise at least $14,000," states Ms. Wilson.
